Project Management Tip of the Week - 2nd November

Hello, Jasmine here from LVL Up Consulting with this week's project management tip of the week. And today I'd like to share some thoughts on what is rich communication in projects. So more and more we see lots of project managers combining the best of PRINCE2 with the best of Agile. And you come out with a what they call a PRINCE2 Agile approach to project management.

And it's really a good thing. But rich communication is actually one of the five Agile behaviors that can be brought into a project. And it is exactly what it sounds like. So it's making sure that everybody in the project team and all the stakeholders around it on the same page to, to really impact having a really efficient project outcome.

So how do you do that? There are two ways that the Agile methodology recomends. The first one is to have as much face to face communication as possible. So whether that's physically co-located in the same room for a workshop or a meeting or a Zoom or, you know, teams video conference meeting, that's, that's a great way to meet.

The other way to have rich communication is to have visualization as much as possible. So that can be, you know, in a, in a project room having big post-it notes and progress updates up on the wall. Whiteboards, digital tools that can show visual progress, that will enable rich communication. So face to face meetings and visualization is what you can do right now to have rich communication in your projects.

I'll see you next time for the project Management Dip of the week. .
