LVLing Up at LVL Up - 5th July
Kara here from LVL Up Consulting.
In this week's LVLing Up at LVL Up I have another three things that I've learnt in business this week.
So the first one that I learnt this week is hard work is needed, but it's not enough. You need to work hard, but work smart as well. So what I found myself doing in the last week, is just rummaging through as much as I could. And when I'd stop myself, I'd realize I needed to reflect on what I'm actually doing and is that actually making any movement? Yeah, sure, maybe? But is it the smartest way I could be working? So sitting back and reflecting on what I was actually doing helped massively in the project that I'm currently working on. And gave me a lot more clarity on my end goal for the week.
The second one is discipline, which is absolutely needed. So two things that I found asking myself in the last week is:
~ What I'm doing right now to get this project across the line? ~
~ Is what I'm doing, generating revenue for this business? ~
So I relooked at my calendar, relooked at how I was spending my time and I rejigged it. I've put in blocks of time where I'm reflecting on what I'm doing and making sure that I'm using my time valuably.
The third thing I learnt this week is your mentor is invaluable. So I realised I was sitting on things that I wasn't sure about and very quickly had the thought - time is money. So I reached out to the wonderful Jas who's always willing to help, even though she's heavily pregnant. She was there to help and it was a really quick response from her, she has the knowledge. For those mentors (people with the knowledge) it's right there, it's not hard for them. So instead of sitting on something or using that time, reach out and give yourself a bit of a time limit on how long you're gonna spend on something. Definitely try and motivate yourself. But if you're finding yourself, spending a little too much time on it, reach out.
Hope you got something from that, feel free to leave a comment and see you next week. Bye.
